Elvis-Appreciation

No amount of words can describe the true impact that he had on society, music, and people as a whole. Obviously he glorified the concept of rags to riches, but I don't think a lot understand how poverty can impact a person even after making it. There was an immense pressure for him to be a success and maintain that status. Even though he was viewed as a very strong individual, deep down he had to put on that front in order to avoid crumbling under to pressure of fame. When you compare his rise to fame to that of Frank Sinatra, Elvis essentially did the impossible: became an immediate success. With Sinatra, he spent about a decade working on his craft before putting out an album. Elvis only spent about 2 years. His first single, a cover of "That's Alright", was released in 1954, with his first album "Elvis Presley" being released in 1956.
